New Business:

Karl Cecil is home from the hospital after having some serious problems with a foot. He is at home and would appreciate a call, a Visit or a get well card. See Randy Elliott for details.

After some discussion regarding assurance that everyone flying has current active AMA membership and thus the insurance that membership provides, it was decided that we would locate some plastic name tag folders that could have our AMA card inserted in them and that they would be required to be visible when flying. Woody will locate the name tag folders and get them to Clint for distribution.

Club cookout and fun fly. Jimmy and Randy suggested that we should plan this event and the suggestion was accepted. The date will be announced later.

Randy brought up the introductory pilots program for new members / pilots. Our 2009 Introductory pilots are: Doug Slate, Elton Shelton and Jimmy Worrell

Gene Hetherington reported that a group at Tech, Virginia Aeronautical Association, has requested to use our field. Randy brought up concerns from past attempts that did not work out. It was decided that Gene would get more details and report back.

We discussed the possibility of a fly day where we would invite the public to come and watch flight demonstrations and learn more about the club. Any ideas would be welcome.

Claytor Lake Float Fly will be in June. More details as we get closer.

Next Meeting: Watch for an email from Clint, but should be March 19.
